10th Central European Scout and Guide Jamboree - ConCordia 2010

Dear friends!

The Hungarian Scout Association kindly invites you and your scouts, to take part at the 10th Central European Scout and Guide Jamboree, which is open for all scouts and guides from the whole world.

Allow me to share with you the news on the 10th annual Central European Scout and Guide Jamboree. Within this letter, you will find the most important information regarding the camp. 

Name of the Event

10th Central European Scout and Guide Jamboree - ConCordia 2010

Con = Together Cor = Heart

ConCordia = Derives from Latin, me aning “to agree”

Here in central Europe, where the past has been particularly stormy, it is important that we pay attention to and live in harmony with one another.

The Motto- Many hearts, One Beat

The Motto reflects on the name and goal of the camp. Throughout the 12 days you will experience just how much we can achieve with our hearts beating to the same rhythm.

Aim of the Event

The main goal of the event is to show young Scouts and Guides that living in peace and harmony in Central- Europe is not only possible, but achievable. This thought is reflected in both the camps’ motto and logo.

Date

The camp will take place from August 2nd to the 11th 2010. Those who are part of the IST (International Service Team) will arrive a few days earlier and stay longer.

Campsite

The ConCordia 2010 will be held at the Sztrilich Pál Scout Park, Hungary. Construction and other preparations for the campsite will begin this spring. The fact that we will be building on our own land ensures that the 2010 ConCordia will exceed all expectations.

Participation

To participant in the camp as a scout, you must be at least 14 years of age (by the first day of camp) and no older than 18 (cannot exceed 18th birthday during the camp).

To be a squad leader, patrol leader, or IST, you must be at least 18 by the first day of camp.

Application & Camp Fee

Every Scout Organization may represent itself with 1 contingent at the Jamboree.

First you should download and fill out the National Contingent Application From from the Contingent Support's page. Then we are going to send you the log in code for the registration system

The camp fee for participants is 110,- EUR, and 75,- EUR for IST* and CMT members if you pay until 15-March-2010.
